Sensitive data is data affecting fundamental rights and freedoms.

It cannot be processed without respecting a strict legal framework.

Data at risk are:

• Data such as racial or ethnic origin, political opinions, philosophical or religious beliefs, trade-union membership, health, sexual orientation, genetic and biometric data.
• Social security number.
• Data relating to criminal sentences.
